Board members with the San Lorenzo Valley Water District have announced a Ban On Monsanto Products. Although workers are expected to use a limited amount of herbicide to kill off some of the thousands of acres of invasive French Broom, they plan to use the one-time, non spray, ‘cut stump method’. Less than 4 gallons of a diluted herbicide will be applied to individual stumps on an estimated 40 acres of the Olympia Watershed.
