An inmate who went missing from Salinas Valley State Prison last Tuesday is back in custody. Inmate Edgar C. Delgado was confirmed missing during an emergency count last week after he walked away from the minimum support facility. He was taken into custody on Friday at a fast-food restaurant in Nipomo. His case will be referred to the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office for consideration of new charges.
