Pearls of Wisdom

Dr. Wallach and Doug discuss a news story concerning a change in Medicare reimbursements. The U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service has proposed a change that would pay less for complex heart procedures such as heart device implants. So money could be re-alocated for more common things such as pneumonia. A doctors group called the "Heart Rhythm Society" is contending this will cost lives.
