A 24-year-old man was tazed by authorities in monterey county yesterday, after attempting to flee from pursuing c-h-p officers.     Monterey county sheriff’s deputies also participated in the arrest of Javier godoy, who had resisted being arrested at his house in san lucas.     godoy was wanted for parole violation.   he was taken into custody, and booked into monterey county jail.

A man whose pit bull killed another dog in july will not face charges.  santa clara county prosecutors determined that there was not enough evidence to move forward with a prosecution.  Authorities would have had to prove that the owner knew that the pitbull had violent tendencies, but the man had just bought the dog a day before the july 12^th attack.  That attack in Gilroy resulted in the death of a dachshund.   The man will issued a 100 dollar citation for not providing contact information to the dauchshund’s owner.

Authorities in monterey county responded to a shooting Saturday night in pacific grove.  Pacific grove police officers were called to Arkwright court just before 11 am, after receiving a report of multiple shots fired.   Multiple other departments also responded, however the shooter was not located.  The man is believed to have fled in a white s-u-v, according to police.  No injuries were reported in the incident.
