Shooting near Natural Bridges 2/12/13 8.0a AF
((UPDATE)) A woman was shot in the head last night near Natural Bridges at a bus stop. Around 7:30pm on the 300 block of natural bridges drive, a man wearing a red bandana over his mouth approached the victim from behind while holding a rifle and demanded she empty her pockets. The woman reported that she was struck in the back of the head with the rifle while running to a car for help. It wasn’t until hospital doctors examined her that it was found that she had actually been shot. The bullet lodged in the first layer of her skull, but was successfully removed by SURGEONS. She is expected to make a full recovery. The assailant is described as fair skinned, in his 20’s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, last seen driving off in a white P-T Cruiser.
