salinas police stopped a car for a traffic violation near laurel drive and north main street about noon on monday.  the driver turned out to be driving on a suspended license and with an outstanding arrest warrant.  a search of the vehicle turned up pepper spray, a stun gun, and marijuana packaged for sale. 23 year old jaime perez was arrested on suspicion of drug sales, driving on a suspended license and the outstanding warrant.
