capitola city council weighed its options at last nights meeting over the possible fine it faced for non- compliance to the affordable healthcare act.   the COUNCIL VOTED 4 to zero to extend healthcare benefits to the long-term, part-time worker who was the only city employee without insurance. the coverage will cost the city 2,800 the other option would have been to cut the employee’s hours.

 

MISSING DOG REUNITED AFTER 11 MONTHS 5/10/13 10:00a DMF

A DOG,  THAT WAS MISSING FOR 11 MONTHS,  WAS REUNITED WITH ITS FAMILY IN HOLLISTER ON WEDNESDAY.     ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICERS ASSISTED IN REUNITING “KIMBO” WITH ITS FAMILY AFTER THEY DISCOVERED the pet HAD BEEN FOUND BY ANOTHER PERSON.    THAT PERSON REPORTEDLY DIDN’T WANT TO GIVE UP “KIMBO” AND THE HOLLISTER POLICE DEPARTMENT GOT INVOLVED.

Asserting the number one killer is now medical doctors through mistakes in surgery, medications and infections. Also outlining why some cultures in other countries live much longer than Americans.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding gluten intolerance. Explaining the difference between gluten intolerance and food allergies. The author of the article points out that although the gluten free products such as pastas and baked goods are healthier than products made from refined flours. These gluten free products however are often loaded with sugar and fats making them high in calories.
