Monologue
Dr. Wallach starts the show discussing his theory on why professional athletes don't live as long as couch potatoes. Asserting that when people sweat they're not just losing water but rather a soup of nutrients mostly minerals. Adding that if athletes only replenish with water they are leaving themselves open to many chronic health challenges.
Pearls of Wisdom
Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding a study of men with ADHD. Researchers who were studying ADHD patients found after following the group for over 40 years a correlation with obesity. Men who were diagnosed with ADHD early in life were twice as likely to be obese than men not diagnosed with ADHD.
