Dr. Wallach starts todays show discussing weight loss.  Outlining books and CDs that help educate people on weight loss.  Also describing several of the Youngevity products that are effective in weight loss programs.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article written by a woman who went on a "total elimination diet".  She was breast feeding her daught who had severe food allergies.  The total elimination diet cuts people back to just 4 or 5 items and then slowly start introducing foods and keeping a food journal so the problem foods can be identified.

Dr. Wallach starts the show discussing a voluntary pulling of infant cough and cold medications off store shelves  by manufacturers.  Because of  what they call "an abundance of caution" although they insist the products are safe.  Doc asserts these medications aren't necessary and common colds and coughs in infants can be dealt with naturally.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding outbreaks of the infection clostidium difficile in British hospitals.  Not only did hospital officials not realize they had and outbreak but still continued unsafe practices afterward.  The result was 90 deaths many of which could have been prevented.

Dr. Wallach starts the show discussing a news article concerning the state of America's Social Security system.  The article states that essentially within the next 20 or so years there will be almost as many people drawing from the system as there are paying in at the same time.  Doc recommends that for people to "hedge the bets" they should start a Youngevity home-based business for additional "passive" income.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article concerning recent research on the H5N1 avian flu.  There has been another mutation to the virus that has experts concerned.  Samples of the virus from Africa and Europe show that virus can now live at lower temperatures.  This mean it can live in the human upper respiratory system where it enters the body.  However the virus still must have further mutations before it can become a pandemic.  Unfortunately experts don't know how many mutations will be needed before it can incubate and pass easily among the human population.

Doug Winfrey and Ben Fuchs discuss recent research from Canada concerning the relationship between stress and recurring heart attacks.  Following 1000 patients they found that patients with stressful jobs are %200 more likely to have a second heart attack.

Dr. Wallach starts the show outlining a nutritional plan for good thyroid function.  Doc also discusses various aspects of women's health recommending several Youngevity products that specifically promote good health in women.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article that outlines four specific "bad eating" habits.  Unfortunately, in the entire article there is no mention of "pica or cribbing" the basic root causes of over-eating.  Doc asserts that bad eating habits are symptoms of greater problem that is mineral deficiencies.
