Dr. Wallach starts the show discussing the value of owning a home-based business.  Giving a brief over-view of the new Youngevity "ACT" energy drink comparing it to some of the popular energy drinks on the market.  Outlining the many advantages that the "ACT" drink has over the traditional "not so healthy" energy drinks.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a recent news story.  California Kaiser hospital was recently fined by the state medical board $25,000 because of the death of an infant that was given wrong medication dosages.  The young boy suffering from a genetic disorder was given nine times the prescribed amount of a drug resulting in his death.  The hospital is appealing the fine because they believe they have corrected the procedural flaw that contributed in the death.

Dr. Wallach starts the show discussing all of the medical mistakes that injure, infect and kill Americans every year.  Doc asserts that people need to become their own health advocate and educate themselves about health.  Outlining several books and CD's to aid in their education as well as tests that people can perform themselves to avoid costly doctors office visits.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a recent news article concerning pharmacy errors.  According to data from the National Patient Safety Foundation every year their are 30 million despensing errors out of 3 billion prescriptions occur at outpatient pharmacies.  The article also provides tips on how patients can help to avoid these sometimes fatal mistakes.

Dr. Wallach starts todays show discussing men's health.  Doc recommends that all men should start the health program with 90 essential nutrients and recommends several Youngevity products to accomplish this goal.  Also recommending several products that help men to look younger.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a recent research study by the National Cancer Institute.  The researchers analyzed data from the diet and health study from the National Institutes of Health.  Looking at data from nearly 100,000 women checking their BMI (body mass index) at ages 18, 35 and 50.  Also tracking the women who developed breast cancer and found that those who gained significant weight after age 18 had a 50% increased risk of breast cancer.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss two recent news stories.  The first concerns a study that found an extract from broccoli helps prevent skin cancer.  The second story concerns a study that found people in their 20's gain 15 to 30 pounds over five years on average.  The study found that married couples in the same age range gain 6 to 9 pounds  more than their single and dating counterparts.

Dr. Wallach starts the show today discussing women's health.  Stating that all women should start their health program by getting the 90 essential nutrients from products such as Youngevity's "Ultra Body Toddy" or the "Ultimate Classic".  But he also recommends that women use the "Mineral Make-Up" the only product on the market of it's kind.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news artcile concerning toxins in blood streams of our children.  A recent study found that some children had up to seven times the amount of some industrial toxins in their blood than did their parents.  The main culprits were flame retardents known as PBDE's known to cause thyroid dysfunction in lab tests on animals.  The other chemical was phthalates used in plastics as a softener.  In lab animals this chemical was linked to reproductive defects, obesity and early puberty.
