Joanne Conaway fills in for Dr. Wallach. Joanne starts the show discussing the increasing problem of MRSA showing up in schools. In some cases school and school districts have been shut down until the problem was thought to be under control.

Doug Winfrey and Joanne Conaway discuss a recent report that indicates up to 36% of adults are using some form of alternative or complementary medicine. Referring to the use of herbs, accupuncture, vitamins, minerals etc. Both Doug and Joanne agree the most likely reason is due to the fact that the mainstream medical industry is not doing it's job.

After reviewing data from over 7000 medical studies experts have found a link between weight gain and cancer risk. They are citing "convincing" evidence that being over weight can increase the risk of six different types of common cancers.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss new data out from Medco Health Solutions. The data indicates an alarming rise in the use of cholesterol and blood pressure lowering drugs in young Americans. In a six year period the use of cholesterol lowering drugs in people ages 20-44 increased by 68%.
