Pharmacist Ben Fuchs fills in for Dr. Wallach.  Ben starts the show discussing the upcoming holidays and ways to avoid all of the sugary treats.  Contending that people won't eat as many holiday candies, cookies, cakes and pies if they already feel full.  He asserts that one way to accomplish this is by eating vegatables.  Recommending that people eat cruciferous veggies such as broccoli, kale and brussel sprouts.

Doug Winfrey and Ben Fuchs discuss a recent CDC report on cholesterol levels.  The report states that for the first time in 50 years average adult cholesterol levels are in the "ideal" range.  Ben disputes the ideal range theory and outlines the importance of cholesterol in out diets.

The survey indicated several "diet disconnects" as an example 90% of Americans say breakfast is an important part of a healthy diet, only 49% actually ate breakfast on a daily basis.
