Dr. Wallach starts todays show discussing the importance of weight loss for good health.  Outlining several serious health challenges that goe along with obesity and weight gain.  Recommending several of the Youngevity weight loss programs and products.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss two recent news articles concerning problems with pharmaceutical drugs.  The first is in regard to the FDA's safety concerns involving drug factories in Puerto Rico.  Where there are dozens of reports involving tainted or contaminated drugs and nothing was done to remedy the problems.  Second Doug and Dr. Wallach discuss reports that have linked drugs used to treat epilepsy and psychiatric disorder and increased risk of suicidal thoughts and behaviors.

  • Julie has three questions with the first concerning a friend diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis.  Second she has questions regarding a woman whose lungs were damaged by breathing toxic fumes.  Finally she asks Doc about a teenage boy with severe acne.

Dr. Wallach starts the show discussing ways to "recession proof" your life.  Cititng "staying healthy" is one way to stay out of debt.  Doc also outlines statistics concerning medical mistakes that occur in hopitals, clinics and doctors offices.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a recent news story concerning OTC (over-the-counter) medicated lotions, creams and gels.  The article outlines some of the main active ingredients in these pain numbers, anti-itch and anti-inflammitory products.  All can have severe and sometimes fatal side effects if not used properly.  Doc recommends several Youngevity products that are good, side effect free alternatives.

Dr. Wallach starts the show today discussing a woman who recently died at the age of 96.  She ate hamburgers every meal and worked 18 hours a day.  Doc contrasts this against doctors who watch their cholesterol but die on average by age 58.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a recent research study concerning folic acid supplementation.  The study found that women who supplemented with vitamin for at least a year before conceiving had a lower risk of a premature delivery.  The supplementation reduced very early pre-term births (20-28 weeks) by 70% and premature birhts (28-32 weeks) by 50%.

Dr. Wallach starts todays show reminding the audience that Valentine's Day is just around the corner.   Doc recommends Youngevity's "Cocogevity" as a great chocolate alternative that is good and good for you.  Also telling the audience that everyone needs to supplement every day with the 90 essential nutrients for good health.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a couple of recent news articles regarding problems with health care in other countries.  The first concerns a French study that newborn babies are in danger of an "adverse incident" about one third of the time.  Second they discuss a story concerning illegal kidney removals and transplants occuring in India.  Men are offered labor jobs they are then taken and held until a recipient arrives usually from the U.S. or Europe.  The they are put under and a kidney is removed without their consent.  To be told later that they will be killed if they tell anyone about the incident.
