Dr. Joel Wallach

A biomedical research pioneer, Dr. Joel D. Wallach spent more than 40 years in the field of Veterinary Medicine, observing and researching the effects of individual nutrients on animal health, before becoming a Naturopathic Physician in 1982. Today, Dr. Wallach is renowned for his groundbreaking research on the health benefits of selenium and other minerals. He currently dedicates his time to lecturing throughout the world on the therapeutic benefits of vitamins and minerals, and on lobbying the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on behalf of the dietary supplement industry.

Dr. Wallach has been appearing recently with George Noory on Coast to Coast AM.

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show today discussing degenerative diseases. Outlining several diseases and contending that they are all caused by nutritional deficiencies. Stating that a study was done involving domestic violence. Comparing to counties in Texas where one county had a lot of domestic violence in the other county it was practically nonexistent. The difference was that the county without domestic violence had a particular mineral in their drinking water. The county with a lot of domestic violence the mineral was missing from the water.

The study looked at the death rates from nearly 30 types of cancer in all 3100 counties in the U.S. over the past 35 years. Finding that although nationwide cancer death rates have gone down by nearly 50%. Unfortunately in some poorer counties cancer death rates have increased nearly 50%.

Contending that if all women did this congenital birth defects could be completely eliminated. Within two weeks she started getting blisters on her skin. She was put into a medically induced coma while her skin peeled off. She now resembles a burn victim as she burned from the inside out. She also lost her fingernails and sweat glands as slowly goes blind. She is now suing the maker of Lamictal GlaxoSmithKline for an undisclosed amount of money.

A meta-analysis of some 446,763 patients of whom some 61,460 had a heart attack. The results showed that there is a heightened risk of heart attack after taking NSAIDS. The risk increased as doses got higher along with the frequency of use. In fact depending on dose and use the risk was from 20% to 50%

Dr. Joel Wallach starts the show today outlining some on his early research on mineral deficiencies. Stating that almost all chronic diseases are linked to nutrient deficiencies. Mostly mineral deficiencies with a few that are vitamin and essential oils deficiencies. Asserting that when people stopped putting wood ash in their home gardens people lost their source of minerals.

Although as a whole in the U.S. life expectancies have been on the rise in recent decades. Some counties have much lower life expectancies by as much as 20 years compared to the highest counties. Oglala Lakota County, South Dakota the life expectancy is only 66.8. While Summit County, Colorado the life expectancy is 86.8 years. Researchers attributing these disparities mostly to risk factors such as obesity, lack of exercise, smoking, hypertension and diabetes. Other factors such as poverty, low income, education, unemployment, race and lack of access to quality health care.
