The following is a KSCO commentary.  Here is Kay Zwerling:

For many years, countless numbers of WW2 veterans living in Central California, also veterans of subsequent wars have yearned for the promised Fort Ord veterans cemetery to become a reality.  These veterans, many now in their 80s, are referred to as the Greatest Generation – my generation – because we were all involved, we were together as a nation, and victory in war was more achievable then than now when our nation is very polarized and not together.  And, many have yet to grasp the danger of world Islamic terrorism.

Now, finally, after 14 years, AB3035, the Bill to create that Fort Ord cemetery, has been passed, and for that kudos to State Senator J. Denham, Assemblyman S. Salinas, and Congressman Sam Farr.

The Central Coast State Veterans Cemetery Endowment Fund is now charged with acquiring the initial $4 million to proceed with this project.  The yearly maintenance fund for the cemetery, however, will be the responsibility of the State.

So, now, why don’t We The People use our creative thoughts and see how soon we can raise the necessary funds?

Kudos, also, to WW2 veteran Paul Ventura of Pebble Beach for caring so much for this project to become a reality that for years he kept the desire alive and now also he has various ideas about how to raise the funds needed.

If you would like to be involved in this project, call Paul Ventura at (831) 626-0377, or email Paul at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Let’s all get involved in this worthy and much wanted project.  It is a way for us to say to those veterans who fought for us “With deepest sincerity and appreciation, we thank you for the huge sacrifice you have made by putting your lives on the line for our nation.”

The following is a KSCO commentary.  Here is Kay Zwerling:

I wrote this in May 2008.

In the late 1920s when I was a child, I remember relatives and friends who yearned to go live in the Holy Land.  They went to the Middle East and purchased small parcels of land from various Arabs who were happy to dispose of their arid property.

Only after those Arabs saw that the Jews by creating drip irrigation, made their land blossom, those Arabs became envious, and tensions arose.  Those tensions still exist, and will never go away.

I was a young mother in my mid 20s when Israel became a State in around 1946, and suddenly the surrounding Arab countries were joining together to annihilate Israel for becoming a recognized State.

Israel urged those Arabs living peacefully among them to remain in their homes and be protected by the new State.  But, the Arab brethren urged them to leave, assuring them that the Israeli Jews would easily be crushed, and the Arabs could then return to their homes victorious and safe.

That never happened.  Since they chose to leave Israel, Israel no longer wanted them back.

So, what happened?  Those displaced Arabs were not taken in by their Arab brethren who lived in large wealthy oil countries, and could easily have absorbed them.  Instead, those Arab countries chose to keep the Israeli Arabs in camps indefinitely.

Why?   Specifically, to keep the displaced Arabs as political pawns, to make the world feel sorry for them, and hate Israel.  Then they admonished their displaced brethren to never accept the Palestinian State offered to them until Israel is destroyed.

That was more than 60 years ago.

They could have had their own country for the past many many years.  But, the stubborn Arabs still hope to throw Israel into the sea.  That has not happened yet, but who knows?   Surrounded by enemies, Israel is doomed to remain in a constant state of war.

It is a shame.  Israel is a tiny country, which can be traversed from north to south in eight hours, and east to west in three hours.

Ideally the Arabs should accept their Palestine now.  Next to Israel and both should live in peace and mutual respect.  The world will be much happier for it.

The following is a KSCO commentary.  Here is Kay Zwerling:

I wrote this in November 2005, and it is in my book.

To those listeners who do not believe in the existence of God, I respectfully suggest that you do not listen to this Commentary because it has no meaning for you.

Holy Moses and Jesus Christ are undoubtedly the two most compelling moral figures of our current civilization, because they were chosen by God to deliver to the world His messages for the endurance of a good and ethical society.  History records that after God created the world, He also created different civilizations to occupy it one at a time.  Each civilization grew and evolved, and because of human lust and power, each gradually became so morally bankrupt that in disgust God decided to discard them and start all over again.  The present civilization is now showing unmistakable signs of so much moral decay that God may discard it, also.

About six centuries ago, Moses was summoned by God to receive and disburse to His people, the Jews, His Ten Commandments, so that gradually all people would learn to worship God by living productively and morally – (like – not stealing, lying, killing, coveting – always honoring parents, etc. – in short, rules to live by to be good human beings).

Our civilization presently is being assaulted by many people who have rejected religion, rejected the family unit, and who are trying vigorously to legalize same-sex marriage.  These same people created legislation to allow pregnant 12-year-old girls to obtain abortions without the knowledge of their parents.

Our society is going downhill rapidly.   The wrong people are taking over, which does not bode well for continued existence of this civilization.

Despite all this, however, about a couple of centuries ago, our nation, a democracy, was created by our Forefathers and in their wisdom they combined the moral beliefs of both Judaism and Christianity as an ethical basis and mission statement for the incredible new Country.

So, from its conception the United States has been and always will be a Judeo Christian nation.   We pray that our democracy will continue to prosper and endure despite the negative pressure of decadent godless forces in our midst.   So God, please continue to bless America!

The following is a KSCO commentary.  Here is Kay Zwerling:

A very generous KSCO radio listener who knew we all would be interested, sent me the following current information.  His name is Kelly C. Tuttle, and his amateur radio license call is WB6AAJ – and for all we listeners, I say “Thank you Kelly.”

This is called:  A little government control history.

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control.  From 1929-1963, about 20 million dissidents unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control.   From 1915-1917, 1.5 million Armenians unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938, and from 1939-1945 a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935.   From 1948-1952, 20 million political dissidents unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

Thereafter, we can mention Guatemala same thing, Uganda same thing, Cambodia same thing, and no doubt many other countries.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th century because of gun control – the amount is 56 million people.

You will not see this data in the U.S. evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property – and yes – gun control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Take note, my fellow Americans, before it is too late.

The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.

With guns we are citizens; without them we are subjects!

During WW2, the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were armed.

Switzerland issues every household a gun.  Switzerland’s government trains every adult they issue a rifle to.  Switzerland has the lowest gun-related crime rate of any civilized country in the world.

It is a no-brainer!   Do not let our government waste millions of our tax dollars in an effort to make all law-abiding citizens an easy target.

Spread the word everywhere you can that you are a firm believer in the Second Amendment.

For KSCO, this is Kay Zwerling.
