Dr. Joel Wallach

A biomedical research pioneer, Dr. Joel D. Wallach spent more than 40 years in the field of Veterinary Medicine, observing and researching the effects of individual nutrients on animal health, before becoming a Naturopathic Physician in 1982. Today, Dr. Wallach is renowned for his groundbreaking research on the health benefits of selenium and other minerals. He currently dedicates his time to lecturing throughout the world on the therapeutic benefits of vitamins and minerals, and on lobbying the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on behalf of the dietary supplement industry.

Dr. Wallach has been appearing recently with George Noory on Coast to Coast AM.

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show today discussing the Texas shooting. Contending there had been a long history of the shooter having mental problems. Also citing the case of two Texas counties. One county had a history of a lot of violent acts including domestic abuse, beatings and murders. The other county had very little to no violent acts. The difference between the counties the one without violence had a lot of a certain mineral in the water. The violent county had very little of the mineral in the water.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article about cancer. The President's Cancer Panel released a report identifying everyday chemicals that are linked to an increased risk of cancer. The article outlines eleven of these chemicals found in everyday objects. Things like vinyl plastics, food containers, diesel exhaust, lead and pesticides. Another study found that shift workers who don't keep regular schedules have an increased risk of cancer.

Researchers at the University of North Carolina studied women and their eating habits following them for close to twenty years. Finding that women who ate a lot of barbecued, smoked or grilled meats had a 17% increased risk of death from all causes. They also had 23% increased risk of dying from breast cancer.

Citing several common health challenges such as rheumatoid arthritis, type 2 diabetes, IBS and more contending they are all due to nutritional deficiencies.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article concerning a German study. Researchers looked at data from four previous research studies involving over 80,000 men and women average age of 49. Who did not have a history of atrial fibrillation. Followed them for twelve years finding those that were overweight or obese had an increased risk of a heart attack or stroke. Also finding that men were more likely to have a heart event 10 years earlier that women.

Officials hve charged John Kapoor seven other current and former executives with racketeering and conspiring get doctors and pain clinics to prescribe their product. Subsys a pain killing spray intended for use with cancer patients.

Contending various test strips can be purchased at any pharmacy. Asserting that people can save thousands by doing these tests at home.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a study from the UK. Researchers examined the outcomes of patients with stable angina. After an extensive drug regiment some patients received heart stents for blocked arteries. Other patients received a placebo treatment with same outcome regarding their symptoms. Meaning patients in the past who were given stents for arteries that were not blocked probably should have gotten a stent.
