Dr. Joel Wallach

A biomedical research pioneer, Dr. Joel D. Wallach spent more than 40 years in the field of Veterinary Medicine, observing and researching the effects of individual nutrients on animal health, before becoming a Naturopathic Physician in 1982. Today, Dr. Wallach is renowned for his groundbreaking research on the health benefits of selenium and other minerals. He currently dedicates his time to lecturing throughout the world on the therapeutic benefits of vitamins and minerals, and on lobbying the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on behalf of the dietary supplement industry.

Dr. Wallach has been appearing recently with George Noory on Coast to Coast AM.

Stating that this can help people stay out of the healthcare system. Contending that medical mistakes are now the third leading cause of death in the U.S.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article about a Japanese woman who felt bloated for the last three years. A CT scan revealed that she had two surgical sponges in her abdomen. She had a cesarean section six years earlier. The article states that a dozen sponges and surgical instruments are left in bodies every day. Resulting in around 4500 to 6000 cases per year.

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show discussing gun control. Contending that anyone buying a gun should be required to get a hair analysis. Stating that people with mental illnesses are deficient in certain nutrients. The hair analysis would show if people are deficient in nutirents. Also asserting that politicians should also have a hair analysis.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article about heart healthy foods. The article lists 10 foods that are heart healthy some Doc agrees with others he did not. The foods didn't agree with are oats, barley and olive oil. The ones he agreed with are salmon and other fatty fish, dark leafy greens, seeds, nuts, beets,avocados, legumes and low fat dairy. All these foods help reduce inflammation, lower cholesterol and lower blood pressure.

Asserting that people should have to undergo a hair analysis before they are allowed to purchase a gun. Contending that this type of mental problem is due a deficiency in a single mineral namely lithium.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article about where germs and viruses are found in the office. Computer keyboards harbored the most germs and viruses in this study. Doug Winfrey and Ben Fuchs discuss a news article about a French study of processed foods. The study found the more processed foods that people eat the greater their increased risk of any type of cancer. The study of over 100,000 people found that some people 32% of their diet was comprised of ultra processed foods increasing their risk of cancer by 23%.
