Dr. Wallach discusses recent buyouts and Chapter 11 filings of Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers Investments.  Doc asserts that even if you have a great job it's always a good idea to have multiple income streams.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a study from Canada on arthroscopic knee procedures.  The study done at the University of Western Ontario is the second in recent years to find that most of these arthroscopic surgeries are unnecessary.  There are over one million of these procedures done each year in the U.S. with an avergage cost of $7000 for the procedure.
