Monologue

Dr. Wallach starts the show chastizing the dieticians who have been talking negatively about the 10,000 calorie a day diet of Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps.  Doc also briefly talks about the death of former Oakland Raider Gene Upshaw at the young age of 63.  Asserting that had he supplemented he would probably still be alive.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a recipe that can be used to replace pasta.  It uses yellow or green zucchini lightly cooked in extra virgin olive oil and can be added to a red sauce or with cheese.  Doc gives out another recipe where the zucchini is baked with cheese to avoid the problems associated with super heated oils.
