Monologue

Dr. Wallach starts the show today discussing type II diabetes.  Quoting statistics from a study involving soft drinks and fruit juices.  Although both are loaded with sugars in the form of high fructose corn syrup those drinking the sugary juices and a 7% increased risk of deveoping type II diabetes.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news story concerning a hospital in San Diego, CA that is currently under investigation by both Federal and state agencies.  The investigation centers around several "preventable deaths", unsanitary conditions in both the operating room and the kitchen as well as the use of dated medications.
