Monologue

Dr. Wallach starts the show today discussing the down turn economy.  Asserting that Americans need to find ways to "recession-proof" their lives.  Contending that staying healthy and out of the medical system is one way.  Also recommending multiple income streams such as a Youngevity or Drink A.C.T. home-based business.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a recent news article concerning the Bayer AG drug Trasylol.  The drug is used during heart bypass surgeries and has been linked to kidney failure requiring dialysis and increased death risk.  The drug was pulled from the market in November of last year.  However, research linking the drug to kidney problems surfaced as early as January of 2006.  During that time gap 22,000 patients administered the drug died of kidney failure.
