Monologue

Dr. Wallach starts the show discussing weight gain and obesity.  Asserting that diets and exercise do not treat the root cause.  Contending that binge eating and the munchies are actually caused by nutritional deficiencies.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news story regarding a research study done at the University of South Carolina.  The study found that women who ate the most grilled, smoked and processed red meats had a 47% increased risk of developing breast cancer.  Those that ate the grilled and smoked meats without eating a lot of fruits and vegetables had a 74% increased risk of developing breast cancer.
