Monologue

Dr. Wallach starts the show discussing juicing.  Outlining the importance of the nutrients that people can get from juicing vegatables and fruits.  Also asserting that even though people juice it is still important to take supplemental nutrients.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a couple of recent research studies.  The first concerns a study done at the University of Miami that found HIV patients who took 220 micrograms of selenium faired better than those taking a sugar pill.  In fact after nine months those on the daily selenium had significantly lower levels of the virus in their blood.  As well as increased immunce cell counts.  Another study found that microwaving your kitchen sponge killed 99% of bacteria, viruses or parasites as well as bacterial spores.
