Monologue

Pharmacist Ben Fuchs fills in for Dr. Wallach.  Ben starts the show discussing the recent outbreaks of e. coli.  Theorizing that one possible reason why this is occuring is the over-use of antibiotics.  This over prescribing is possibly killing off most if not all of the body's "good bacteria".  Thus leaving people vulnerable to infections from foods and other environmental sources.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Ben Fuchs discuss a news article regarding several recent studies on cancers.  The eight different studies from Italy and Switzerland indicate that diets rich in garlic and onions may help lower the odds of getting several types of cancer.
