Monologue:

Doctor Wallach discusses a recent article regarding new methods of treating asthma. The method is being tauted as the first non-drug treatment for the disorder. Dr. Wallach disagrees outlining a nutritional supplement way of reducing the severity and frequency of asthma attacks.

Pearls of Wisdom:

Doug and Doc discuss a news article concerning a recent report regarding preventative health measures. The report outlines 25 different measures that can be done to prevent disease. The first was taking an aspirin a day to reduce heart risks. Also discussed were colon cancer screening, immunizations, blood pressure tests and smoking cessation therapies. Dr. Wallach asserts that many of these things can be done at home with the aid of a doctor. While others such as aspirin therapy can cause other health problems such as stomach bleeding.
