Kay's Commentary 2008-08-22

Download File The following is a KSCO commentary. Here is Kay Zwerling: This little gem is called World History 101. I do not know where this came from, but it is funny, and worth a few belly laughs, so don?t anyone get mad. It’s only fun. For those of you who slept through World History 101, here is a condensed version: Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter. The two most important events in all of history were:1. The invention of beer, and2. The invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer, and the beer to the man. These facts formed the foundation of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:1. Liberals2. Conservatives.Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That’s how villages were formed. Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to BBQ at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as the Conservative movement.Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly BBQ and doing the sewing, fetching, and hairdressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal movement. Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. The rest became known as girlie-men.Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy and group hugs, and the concept of Democratic voting to decide how to divide all the meat and beer that Conservatives provided.Over the years, Conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by the jackass.Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish, but like their beef well done. Most liberal women have higher testosterone levels than their men. Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, and group therapists are liberals.Conservatives drink domestic beer. They eat red meat and are big-game hunters, cowboys, firemen, lumberjacks, construction workers, medical doctors, police officers, corporate executives, athletes, golfers, and generally anyone who works productively. Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when Conservatives were coming to America. They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get more for nothing. About the rest of us who are moderates, we can go one way or the other. Here ends today’s lesson in World History 101.For KSCO and KOMY, this is Kay Zwerling. Copyright 2008

Kay's Commentary 2008-09-03

Download File The following is a KSCO commentary. Here is Kay Zwerling: Politically speaking, the next ten weeks will be very interesting. To their credit, it is prudent for Obama and Biden to say that criticizing candidates? family is off limits. I am really happy about Sarah Palin for V.P. She is my kind of person ? clear thinking, direct, and fearless. She takes on anyone who she believes is wrong, especially in her own party. And about experience, she has infinitely more experience ? executive experience ? than Obama ever had. McCain, the maverick, sure threw the liberals a curve. So, now we learn that Sarah’s 17-year-old daughter is pregnant ? and will keep the baby, and that she and her boyfriend will get married. The liberal media chose to gleefully announce the pregnancy, but neglected to mention the forthcoming marriage. Years ago the liberals insisted that condoms should be readily available in high schools because we parents cannot change young peoples? behavior.I believe it is weak and idiotic to think that way. Isn?t it better to convince your own children to abstain from reckless irresponsible behavior instead of giving them encouragement with condoms? It is a credit to Sarah’s daughter to keep her baby rather than have an abortion. Since she and her boyfriend will marry, that should be the end of the gossip. About Roe vs. Wade, for many years I was pro choice, and believed that no one or law should rule my body. Then, I saw several years ago, on TV, and I mentioned this before, how it is routine in the third trimester for a physician who can legally shoot the baby in the head with a gun as it is coming out of the womb. Now, I am pro life. One must see that there is more than just a woman’s body involved. At the moment of conception, there is another body growing, and the woman hopefully should not dispose of it.It should be allowed to grow to completion, and then if the mother still does not want it, there are so many couples who would gladly want to adopt it. The only valid consideration for abortion is the mother’s health or if it was a rape. This is an emotional topic, but it is timely, and there are no easy answers that would please everyone. However, many women who opted for abortion are regretful and scarred for life. Sadly, I know a few. For KSCO and KOMY, this is Kay Zwerling. Copyright 2008

Kay's Commentary 2008-09-12

Download File Saturday 9-13-2008, 8:00 p.m. KSCO 1080 AM radio www.ksco.comThe following is a KSCO commentary. Here is Kay Zwerling: There is a new book out called ?The Audacity of Deceit? written by Brad O'Leary. It is about Barrack Obama and how he plans to implement his promise of change for the American people. O'Leary discusses some important changes Obama wishes to implement: He will raise taxes from the low rate of 28% under Ronald Reagan to a whopping economy destroying 60% under Herbert Hoover. Obama claims that only the rich who now pay the 40% of their income will pay the higher 60%. Because the rich and corporations supply most of the jobs, the country will probably spiral into a deep Depression. Obama will wage a trade war that would eliminate 10 million American jobs He will choke off America’s domestic energy resources and send gas and electricity prices through the roof. He will implement a childhood government program designed to transfer infant and child raising responsibility from parents to the federal government. That is socialism. He will establish a government agency to approve what types of medical procedures and operations senior citizens will be permitted to have. That is also socialism. O'Leary continues, he will increase the liberal base by allowing felons to vote. This is the same reason liberals like open borders. Did you know that, as a State Senator, Obama blocked emergency medical aide for babies who survive abortion? Instead, he would rather leave them in a room to die. Then, O'Leary says that he will hand out federal medical insurance to more than 12 million aliens. This is just a sample of many issues which Obama will address if he becomes President. You can buy this book through Amazon.com. Otherwise, you might visit www.AudacityofDeceit.com (capital A of Audacity, and capital D in Deceit, and it is all one word), and if you go to that website you can choose one chapter of the book to read online. Also, the author says that Obama will restore the inheritance tax, and also will implement a retirement tax. And, finally, there will be new taxes to pay for socialized medicine so that we can receive the same medical care as other third-world countries do. Now remember, these are not my words, these are the words of Brad O'Leary in his book which is called ?The Audacity of Deceit. If all this can possibly be true, do you really want a socialist to be your President? For KSCO and KOMY, this is Kay Zwerling. Copyright 2008

Kay's Commentary 2008-09-19

Download File The following is a KSCO commentary. Here is Kay Zwerling: Last week I spoke about the book ?The Audacity of Deceit? which is about Obama and his plans for change. Written by Bradley O'Leary, a leading respected conservative strategist and fund-raiser, who has taken election year tactics to a new and powerful level. This is really exciting, so please listen. O'Leary has developed an online tool to put into the hands of voters, who want to persuade friends and family to look deeper at the Obama values before voting for him. The test, which may be found at BarackObamaTest.com is a 39-question test where voters can compare their views to the true Obama positions that are seldom revealed by the mainstream media. And there is a good reason for that. For example, pro life voters unaware of the radical nature of Obama’s views can now learn how he would withhold medical care to babies who survive abortions and allow them to die in so-called ?comfort rooms?. Also, voters who have no knowledge of Obama’s economic vision can learn how his tax, trade, and spending agenda will destroy growth and opportunity and how his healthcare program will provide taxpayer subsidized healthcare for illegal aliens. O'Leary concludes ?The next President will determine the destiny of our Country. That President should be a person whose values are yours. Take the BarrackObamaTest.com and learn the truth before it is too late. I took the test and learned that my values differ from Obama by 98%. Abundant kudos to Bradley O'Leary for his wisdom in creating such a unique and authentic way to learn about the values of a prospective leader of the United States and indeed the world.
