About me

I'm originally from Canada. Grew up in the Toronto area then moved out West. Was living in a little mountain cabin in Mayook Valley, British Columbia before I moved to Santa Cruz. I had always been a "closet" musician, playing and singing along to my records/tapes and to my cats. It was in BC that I met a group of wonderful musicians who became very special friends. They encouraged me and brought the music out of me. Since being in Santa Cruz (about 11 years now), I've got my own band, Sweet Jam, and feel very blessed to have such great bandmates, as well as friends. They very much remind me of my friends in BC. I also found the love of my life here (Keith Graves). He is also a musician and plays with many local bands. He is currently forming the new Quicksilver Messenger Service Band with founding member, Gary Duncan. It will include other local Santa Cruz musicians: Jim Greiner, Otis Cohen and Dave Medd. Even though I grew up in Canada, I've always felt that I was a California girl at heart, in particular, have always been very drawn to the SF Bay Area music scene. But, I love living in Santa Cruz and I love KSCO!
