Pearls of Wisdom
Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss two recent reports from Medicare and Medicaid. These reports contend that by the year 2017 U.S. health care spend will reach 4.3 trillion dollars. That will be 19.5% of the nation's gross domestic product and up from 2.1 trillion spent in 2006. Combine this with declining input from private spending as baby boomers retire and go into the Medicare and Medicaid system.
- Nick asks Dr. Wallach about Inga Regan. Whose story Doc relates occasionally telling how she had been in her bed on medication for 12 years. After supplementing nutritionally she was able to get out of bed and wean off of her meds. He also has questions concerning the vasoconstrictiive effects of caffeine.
- Terry weighs over 700 pounds and has questions concerning losing weight.
