A 63 year-old man has been arrested in connection with a murder that took place 25 years ago in Santa Cruz county. Forensic evidence now links John Laroche with the killing of 41 year-old Gloria Hassemer, who’s body was found along the Pajaro River Levee on June 10th of 1995. She was last seen that morning, walking along Water Street in Santa Cruz. Laroche was arrested near his home in Turlock….and based on his history investigators believe there could be other such victims.
