A proposed settlement has been reached between the California Coastal Commission and the Cemex Sand Mining Operation, in Marina. The details of the settlement, which includes the phase-out of its operation over time, is scheduled to be presented during the commissions’ meeting on July 13th. The proposed agreement also provides for a reduced price sale of the whole property in the near future, including the protection of the property in-perpetuity.
