The California Coastal Commission has approved a new 10-foot wide multi-use path on the San Lorenzo Trestle Bridge. The new, wider, path will be part of the Monterey Bay Scenic Trail. The new path, which authorities hope will be ready by Memorial Day next year, will incorporate horizontal-cable railings, in place of the chain-link fencing currently used.
