The numbers are in!
Last Saturday more than 2-thousand volunteers showed up to collect almost 8-thousand pounds of trash and recycled materials from local beaches and rivers.
According to save our shores, the annual international coastal clean up day netted some unusual finds on the central coast.
Volunteers picked up 37-hypodermic needles, a flat screen tv and a pair of dentures… just to name a few of the items. Almost 2-thousand pounds of that garbage picked up is recyclable.
Thank you volunteers for helping keep our waterways clean!
