A California convenience store has found a way to dissuade loitering. The central California 7-11 has been playing symphonies operas over outdoor speakers. Store regulars say that they feel safer visiting the store with the absence of panhandlers. The store owner says he started playing the classical music as part of a 7-Eleven, program that encourages non-confrontational methods to reduce loitering.
