Texas-based 7-11 incorporated has agreed to a 1.5 million dollar civil settlement, with the counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, San Mateo, San Joaquin, Monterey, Ventura, and Yolo. The settlement is for violating state laws requiring training of store personnel in the proper handling of hazardous materials. 25 of the 1700 stores in the state are in Monterey county.
