The Santa Cruz Police Department received more than 460 calls for service yesterday, and more than 100 of those were fireworks – related. There were 7 arrests for the possession and discharging of fireworks, and nearly 60 citations were issued for open containers. There were 41 triple fine citations issued….and they were mostly for alcohol and fireworks.
