AN 80-ROOM HOTEL HAS BEEN PROPOSED FOR THE 7 ACRE PARCEL OF LAND OCCUPIED BY CAPITOLA CITY HALL. CAPITOLA’S CITY MANAGER JAMIE GOLDSTEIN, WILL ASK THE CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS FOR AUTHORITY TO IMPLEMENT AN EXCLUSIVE NEGOTIATING AGREEMENT WITH LAWLOR/FRENCH LLC AT THE THURSDAY EVENING CITY COUNCIL MEETING. IF THE COUNCIL APPROVES THE PLAN, CITY HALL AND THE POLICE STATION WOULD BE RELOCATED (AND A PARK WOULD BE CONSTRUCTED ON THE NEWLY FINISHED PACIFIC COVE LOT). THE 80-ROOM HOTEL WOULD MOST LIKELY BE ACCOMPANIED BY A MULTI-STORY PARKING STRUCTURE.
