A Salinas man was arrested last night in the Prunedale area after he reportedly assaulted a C.H.P. officer. The assault took place during a D.U.I. investigation on Highway 101 near Messick Road. The officer suffered a hand injury, and the ‘attacker’ was booked into Monterey County Jail.
