A controversial pesticide is now joining the ranks of Formaldehyde, Chloroform, and Diesel Fuel as a Toxic Air Contaminant. Based on 20 years of studies done in the Salinas Valley, scientists believe that Chlorpyrifos (which is a granular pesticide, that is used to kill bugs that attack certain crops) has been linked to a higher number of children with learning disabilities, lower IQ, and breathing issues.
