A million dollars’ bail is keeping a Soquel man in the Santa Cruz County jail. 59-year-old Luis Ortiz was arrested last week. He is accused of sexually assaulting children over more than a decade.
Ortiz faces more than a dozen charges sexual assault and lewd acts with a child. The crimes allegedly occurred at social events with friends and family. Three victims have come forward, but investigators believe there could be more.
