The man accused of killing 13 year-old Christina Marie Williams nearly 2 decades ago, is now scheduled to return to a Monterey county courtroom in September for his Preliminary Hearing in the murder case. 56 year-old Charles Holifield was named as a suspect after evidence in the 1998 case was re-examined. Holifield, who is currently serving a 25 year term in prison for kidnapping a woman (and making criminal threats), has long been considered a suspect in the Williams case….and now faces charges of committing First Degree Murder. Williams went missing the night of June 12th 1998, while she was walking the family dog near her home on the former Fort Ord. Her remains weren’t found until 7 months later.
