While the U.S. Supreme Court will soon be re-assessing whether to place a question about citizenship on the 2020 Census; Monterey county officials have been discussing their own possible changes to the upcoming 2020 Census. Monterey county officials say the ultimate goal is to get a more accurate count, than the county has succeeded in getting in the past. Officials believe that the last time the census was done, nearly 40 percent of those in Monterey county were not included.
