Two Central Coast athletes will be going to Russia to compete in the 2014 Sochi Olympics. Nick Cunningham of Monterey who has already secured a spot on the 2-man bobsled team, as of Sunday, landed a spot on the 4-man bobsled team by placing fourth in a race in Austria. Meanwhile, Freeskier Brita Sigourney, of Carmel will compete on the U.S. Women’s Halfpipe Ski Team. The 23-year old was the second woman to earn a spot on the team after the U.S. Grand Prix in Park City, Utah on Friday.
