The Covid-19 Test Positivity rate needs to be below 100 per 100-thousand people per county for the county to get (and stay) off the State’s Watchlist. Right now that number is 235.3 in Monterey county, while it’s 121.5 in Santa Cruz county and 181.2 in San Benito county.
Along with those numbers, Monterey county currently has nearly 16-hundred active cases, and 23 deaths….and 255 people have been hospitalized.
In Santa Cruz county there are more than 570 active cases, 4 deaths and 69 people have been hospitalized. In San Benito county, 63 cases remain active, and 2 people have died.
