All beaches along Santa Cruz County and the City of Monterey are currently closed due to this morning’s tsunami warning. Residents are asked to avoid the coastal areas until authorities give the all-clear. All beaches in both areas will remain closed until the warning is lifted. This morning’s Tsunami Warning has been down graded to a Tsunami advisory. High tide is at 4 p.m. and more surges are still possible but the worst is said to be over.
