AT ABOUT 9:15 A-M ON FRIDAY MORNING, SANTA CRUZ COUNTY ANIMAL SERVICES WAS CALLED TO INVESTIGATE A STRANDED CAT AT A LOCAL RESTAURANT. FIELD SERVICES MANAGER TODD STOSUY ARRIVED TO FIND THE CAT STUCK IN THE GREASE BARREL BEHIND THE HINDQUARTER RESTAURANT. FORTUNATELY, THE 4-FOOT TALL BARREL HAD ONLY 6 INCHES OF GREASE INSIDE , MAKING IT EASY FOR RESCUER TO REMOVE THE ANIMAL. THE CAT WAS TAKEN TO THE ANIMAL SHELTER WHERE IT WAS GIVEN TREATMENT AND A BATH.
