3 suspects were arrested last night after a fatal shooting in Castroville led officers on a car and foot chase that ended in Salinas. The shooting happened shortly before 8 p.m. near Seymour Street and the Highway-156 overpass in Castroville. Monterey County Sheriff’s Deputies, who pronounced the victim dead at the scene, spotted the reported suspect vehicle and pursued it into Salinas. The vehicle pulled over near Archer Street when 3 men jumped out of the car and tried to outrun deputies. Multiple agencies responded to the chase with the arrests occurring 2 hours later.
