Authorities have released the name of the victim of Thursday’s fatal shooting in Castroville. 37 year old Cynthia Medina was fatally shot following and argument with 28 year old Melissa Lillian Paniagua on Merritt Street. Police say that Paniagua is still at large and most likely armed, however she is not believed to be a threat to the general public. She is thought to be in the company of her sister, 35 year old Sylvia Navarro. Anyone one with any information on their whereabouts is encouraged to contact authorities.
