a local child advocacy group is celebrating 20 years of service. court appointed special advocates of santa cruz county, or “casa”, is a network of more than 1-thousand volunteer advocates, who have worked with 15-hundred children over the last 20 years. the advocates speak for the children in court, as well as support their academic pursuits and build relationships with them. casa’s headquarters are located at the mary and richard solari house on freedom boulevard.
