The man suspected of killing a Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputy delayed court proceedings on Friday. 32 year old Steven Carrillo of Ben Lomond, appeared remotely from the Monterey County jail where he is being held on murder and attempted murder charges. Carrillo is also a suspect in an Oakland homicide investigation. Carrillo is scheduled to be formally arraigned on July 17th.
