A benefit is being held this weekend for the Carrie’s Dream Dance Scholarship. It was created in memory of Carrie Dianda McCoid, a local dance instructor who died suddenly in 2012. In the past two years the dance and auction benefit has raised $58,000 in scholarships. There will be two performances (at 1 and 5 p.m.) this Sunday at the Aptos High Performing Arts Center at 100 Mariner Way in Aptos.
